It provides tlint owners of any real
property sold under decree of fore-
closure and sn I o may redeem the

action: Provided that if the court

for two years the last of which must
have been in the ollico of a regular
practicing attorney who shall certify
that the said applicant is a person of
good moral character ami well quaii-
iicd to pr.tctiec law and who satihllcs
any judge of a district court of this
territory that ho possesses tho requis-
ite learning and that he is of good
moral charactor may by such court
be licensed to practice as an attorney
aud counselor in all districts and In-

Council bill No. 22 bv Mr. Scott
says that the sessions of grand juries
shall hereafter continue for not more
than twenty days during any one
term of thu district court: 1'rovldod
That their sittings need not bs on
twenty consecutive business days.
Hut the grand jurors shall not roceive
pay for more than the twenty days

kcrsly provides that tho jurisdiction

civil cases of $300 or less but that no
justice of the peace except In emer-

gates will attend next meeting as the
meeting which was a large one re-
quested delegates from every town-

in every county in the Cherokee strip.

gave the Santi Fo railroad 300 feet
through the entire eity for depots aud
side truck privileges but as the com-
pany kept their depot at Wharton foi
bo long that hundreds of people set-
tled upon and claimed the right of
way in excess of 100 feet and the town-
site bourd gave them deeds on the
ground that the law only allowed thu
railway company 100 feet right of way.
This property is in the center of Perry
and the railroad company on Friday
began 33 ejectment suits iiguiiist the
parties who secured the lotff.
Thu suits were brought in the dis-
trict court and will likely eud in the
supreme court of the United Slates.
Governor Iteufrow returned yester-
day from 121 Iteuo. lie attended the
Irrigation convention and delivered
the address of welcome which is high-
ly spoken of by all those who heard it.
In May the grand lodge of the
Knights of Pythias meets at King-

Tuesday morning two colored men

Two representatives of the Klrkapoo
tribe of Indians pasted through the
I'n Ion Station yesterday on their way
from the Indian Territory to Washing-
too. As they attracted considerable
attention from the passers by thev
were shown the way to the emigrants'
room where tbey were less exposed
to public curiosity. One of the two
was a tall massive warrior with a
large white hat. The other was
small wore a red blanket wrapped
about him. and had long blank hair
uncovered by hat or cap. The two
seaasad very reticent being unwilling
even to give their names. All that
could be obtained from them was au
