At the close of the dinner the party
repaired to the new home of Mr. and
Mrs. McNeil which was opened for the
first Ume to guents. The rooms
which are particularly charming were
given an added touch of beauty by
numerous va-es of small white chry-
santhemums. Forty-two was enjoyed
during the evening.
Thanksgiving Dinner Party.
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Carmichael en-
tertained with a delightful dinner par-
ty on Thanksgiving. A color Kc-hemc
of yellow was carried out in detail in
the table decorations chrysanthemums
being the flower favored. Covers
were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Dwyer Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Rigmon

Surprise Party.
Mrs. F. C. Hall was most agreeably
surprised on last Saturday evening
when a number of her intimate friends
called and presented her with a hand-
some piece of table silver the occa-
sion being her birthday. The guests
enjoyed forty-two for several hours
after which a luncheon plate was passed.
Dinner Dance.
Thirty couples enjoyed a delightful
dinner dance at the Country club on
Wednesday evening. The guests were Courcier motored out to the toll bridge
Wiener Roast.

Cnited Charities was held at the city
hall on Monday afternoon to discuss
plans for the Christmas tree for the
poor which ia an important feature of
their year's work. The following com-
mittee was appointed to meet with
the directors on Dec. H to consider

The regular meeting of the Presby-
terian Guild was held at the parish
house on Tuesday afternoon with Mrs.
B. Harris and Mrs. Perkins as hos-
tesses. Unfinished sewing was dis-
posed of after which refreshments

nesday evening. A large crowd and
good music combined to make the oc-
casion enjoyable.

Mrs. Jake Nebergail entertained
with cards on Tuesday evening in hon-
or of her son V. H. Nebergail of New
York City.
Faculty Dinner. ! Stag Dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Frey entertained Dr. W. H. Livermore was the host
with a delightful dinner on Tuesday at an enjoyable game dinner at the
