of (iallatin Mo. are the guests of the
latter's niece .Mrs. F. E. Riddle. Mr.
Robertson is editor of the (Iallatin
Democrat" one of the best papers in
Missouri and .or many years he has
been recognised as one of the ablest
editors in his state. Before coming to
Chickasha Mr. and Mrs. Robertson
visited their son who publishes a pa-
per in Tishomingo. They will remain
here several days.

state commerce ommission today be-
gan hearing arguments in the eastern
railroads' cae for five per cent in-
crease in freight rates. This will close
procedings except for inclusion in the
record of data sought previously under
time limit arrangement by the commission.
GRAIN HEARING OPENS.

hearings on grain standardization and
trading in grain futus opened today
before the house agricultural commit-
tee. Chairman Lever expected to use
the evidence as the basis for bills on
both subjects.

As usual the ladies of the city
did themselves proud in the prepara-
tion of innumerable delicacies intend
ed to ticklo the palates of the veterans

G. G. Buchanan W. T. Melton and J.
D. Vance were elected delegates and
alternates to the scue meeting. Com-
mander Kelley presided over the meet-
