Territory of Oklahoma Is authorized
to appoint three citizens of nald terri-
tory not more than two of whom shall
be of the same political party as n
commission to apportion said territory
into thirteen council districts and
twenty-six representative districts for
members of the third legislative as-
sembly and on the iirst Tuesday after
the iirst Monday in November 18UI
there shall be held an election in said
territory ut which there shall be
elected a delegate in congress mem-
bers of the third legislative assembly
comity and townships ollicers. and
Whereas It is in said act further
provided that the (lovcrnor shall on or
before the Iirst day of October ldlH
r. iuc n proclamation for the holding
of said election setting forth therein
the apportionment of said territory
and
Whereas Section 5087 of the laws
of Oklahoma provide that the Gover-
nor shall iu all cases issue his procla-
mation giving thirty day's notice of
the time and place of holding elections
for tho purpose of choosing a delegate
to congress and members of tho terri-
torial' legislature and county and
township ollicers.
Now therefore I William C. Hen-
frow Governor of the Territory of
Oklahoma by virtue of tho. power
in me vested and in pursuance of said
act of congress ami nid act of the Ok-
lahoma legislature.do hereby proclaim
and declare that the commission ap-
pointed by mo by virtue of said act
of congress have apportioned the
Territory of Oklahoma into twenty-six
representative districts and thirteen
council districts as follows to-wit:
The First Heprcsentutivo district Is
composed of townships No. three .1

township No. live 5 and tho town of
Tecumseh in tho county of Pottawato-
