Two new churches will be built
in Chickasha this year. A town
can n ake no better investment of
money than to put it into churches
and schools. Such institutions are
standing advertisements for the
community and they pay large
dividends in increased intelligence
and morality.
Oklahoma republicans with their
statehood-for-Oklahoma platform
are beginning to recognize that
they are following a forlorn hope.
Many of them are already climb-
ing into the single statehood wa-
gon. It is by no means ture that
any statehood bill will pass during
the present hession but there is
good reason to believe that the
bill will !e passed at the next
session.

Now that the streets have been
established we are pleased to note
that our enterprising citizens have
taken up the sidewalk question
and twenty-five miles of vitrified
