the city council of said city tend-
ered his resignation as such Alder-
man and member of said city
council and
Whereas on the 16th day of
June 1904 the said resignation of
said J. C. Woodside was accepted
by the city council of said city of
Chitkasha; and
Whereas the law provides that in
all cases of such vacancies in the
city council such vacancies shall be
filled by social election; and
Whereas said J.C. Woodside was
elected Alderman and Councilman
from the first ward of said city of
Chickasha to serve for a term of
two years;

Mayor of the city of Chickasha I.
T. by virtue of the authority vest
ed in me by law do hereby proclaim
and uive notice that a siiecial elec
tion will lie held in the first ward
of the city of Chickasha I. T. 011

purjoe of electing an Alderman
from said fir. -4 ward as a member
f the city council of the City of
Chickasha to fill the unexpired
term of J. C. Woodside resigned-

the city council of the said city of
Chickasha shall cause to lie issued
