The feature of yesterday's session
was the decision handed down in the
mandamus enso of Johnson sheriff of
O county v. Auditor of tho Territory
Cameron. The plaintiit had conveyed
several insane persons from (1 county
to the asylum at Jacksonville III.
and o tiled on the auditor for warrants
to defray the expenses Incurred.
Tho auditor refused to Issue the
warrants ns tho fund for the purpose
was exhausted he holding that war
rants should not bo drawn on ex-
hausted funds.
The court held that the auditor
must issue tho warrants fur tho ex-
pense of taking tare of Oklahoma's
Insane although tho fund be ex-
hausted. In rendering tho decision
the court or.'orcd thnt the warrants
In this Instance must bo drawn on tho
general fund.
This decision is a very Important
ono in Oklahoma and puts to rest u
mooted question regarding the Issu-
ance of territorial warrants.

gruatly attached lo tho little ohorub
that shi could not think of leaving
her behind."

consent suspocting nothing then.
