of the public library inn't fully realized.
The Tulsa Democrat is outspoken in
its advocacy of Judge Hob Williams
fur governor and the Shawnee News-
Herald is strongly inclined in the sami
direction. In general the candidacy
of the Judge is Very favorably received
by the press of the state and some ol
the papers are predicting that he will
le (he only man to go through the rate
to the finish.
Didn't Old Diaz once have a habit
of saying that he never would get out
of Mexico? We have a faint recollec-
tion of something of that kind but
just tlie same the old gent finally had
to clear out. Huerta's fall will prob-
ably be Just as sudden and like a politi-
cal campaign manager he will no
doubt claim that everything Is goini;
his way even up to the fatal moment.
The esteemed Okluhoman makes an
uncomplimentary allusion to the per-
sonal appearance of Cararuza. It ap-
pears to us that this unkind cut Is un-
justified. While the rebel leader judg-
ing by his picture isn't exactly pretty
he has a tetter "mug'' than most Mex-
icans. He doesn't look a bit like a
blood-thirsty brigand but on the other
hand his open countenance indicates
intelligence and sincerity.
It isn't fair or polite to Uik ab'.ut

verting the truth as to tire Progressive
lM.sition but either deliberately or
through prejudice he wholly mlirepre-
cents Mr. Wilson and the lVmocta"c
party. Of course it is hard for a iWn
who is given to bluster pud verbal
eruptions to understand one who
Is working fjtiietly and effectively to
produce results but if Col. Itoos-w it
were the embodiment of fairness Intel-
lectuul honesty and profound wisdo n
that he claims to be he could not be
guilty of dishing out su li a mess of
political buncombe as Is contained In
this article. While the article referred
to contain many holesonie truths as
does everything that the Colonel
writes the numerous half truths and
whoie yarns contained in H give It the
character of mere campaign "dope."

Huerta Is "sit-
rractically every state In the Union
will have an exhibit at the San Fran-
cisco Kxpositlon but Oklahoma will
not he represented unless the citizens
of the state put up the money to fur-
nish it. There is now absolutely no
way to have an Oklahoma building
and exhibit except by public contribu-
tions. It would be nothing short of
a calamity for the state to be found
missing at this great exposition. The.
citizens of Chickasha and every other
town in the state ought to have suffic-
ient pride and public spirit to prevent
this calamity. Let's do our part in this
statewide enterprise.

One phase of the gospel that we
should emphasize is the gospel of

friends of the man in the street. Beck-

can confer bit because we have a
genuine interest in his welfare. Ilu-

STATE PRESS PRATTLE.It Doesn't Pay.
Once upon a t'ne when I'auls Val
ley was in a hot city campaign it was
argued that the prohibition law and
city ordinances were being too rigidly
enforced and that it was causing farm
ers to go elsewhere to do their trad-
ing. It was argued that when a farm
er came to town he should be allowed
to "tank up" if be felt like it ami
that would cause more farmers to
come to town in order that they also
might be able to put on a show. And
strange as it might seem some rather
sensible men took this bait under
cork and all. Now that It has beer
publicly charged that the above privi-
leges are being enjoyed (?) t a very
large extent these same business men
who were expecting the booze business
lo bring great flocks of farmers to
town are complaining of the dullest
business since they came to this piace.
If throwing the town wide oien
would cause every booze fighter in
Garvin county to come to Pauls Valley

penny in the transaction. Men who

hud such severe attacks of kidney
complaint that I was unable lo get up.
I also had bad pains across my back
and loins and I lound it hard to do my
housework. My limbs often became
cramped and I felt tired and worn out.
Nervousness and headaches also both-
ered me and I felt that I was slowly
but surely drifting into a chronic case
of kidney complaint. Others of my
family had taken Doan's Kidney l'ills
