Crm Baking Powder
The difference of cost between a good
and a poor baking powder would not
amount for a family's supply to one dol-
lar a year. The poor powder would
cause doctors' bills many times this.
Dr. Price's Cream Baking Powder is
the most economical in the end because
it goes further in leavening and insures
perfect wholesome food.
Used alwavs in making the biscuit
and cake it saves both health and money.
Made from pure grape cream of tartar
most healthful of fruit acids.

Note. You cannot if you value good
health afford to use cheap low-trade
baking powders. They are mostly in
spite of the pure food laws made from
alum u-hich endangers the health. All
physicians will tell you that such pow-
ders in food are injurious.

Two Whelps Throw Acid on Horse
Which I.adtcs Were Dtiving.
About 8:30 last evening while
Ms. vY. M. Edwards and a lady
friend were driving down Cbioka-
sha avenne to the band concert
two unknown men threw some of
the stuff called "high-life" upon
their horse. Fortunately only a
a little of the acid struck tbe
hcrse. A runaway and probab'v
severe injnry f the ladies was
averted by the quick actiou of
some men who caught the plung
ing horse. In the excitement the
fiends escaped westward. The
police took the case in hand at
once.
'''here are no words in the
language strong enoagh to de-
scribe the depravity of such fiends
and if caught their punishment
should bo a liberal dose of the
same stuff. It is believed that
both men will be caught and if ao
their identification will be easy and
their panisbmect awift.
