atmosphere to the swiftly changing
incidents and pictorial scenes. The
tent of the circus is the largest
ever made and is brilliantly light-
ed by electricity. This departure
is in keeping with the progressive'
spirit that has always characterized .
Ringling Brothors' great circus. ;
The monster street parade always ;
a fascinating attraction with Ring-!

larged and is now a glittering pag-j

The band chariots and musical ve-
hicles are massive structures
gracefully fashioned and beauti-;
fully colored. The animal cages
and dens are newly built and of
differing showy patterns which re-;
lieve this procession from the
deadly monotony that overshadows
the street display of the familiar
circus. Elaborately carved and;
richly decorated tableaux wagons
bear character types of th-; great
nations of the world and cavalry;
troops equipped for service illus-!

pride of all countries. A division

remarkable free street display. In
the ring performances Ringling

acts. Many of the artists appear
in America for the first time and

yesterday. She was trying to
light the stove and for some rea-

to apply matches when suddenly
it blazed up burning her face
singeing her hair. She had pres-

preventing further trouble.
