Sewerage
Contract Let to Doyle & Swartz
To lie Completed in Four
Months.
The city council met yesterday
afternoon to ojhmi bids for the sew-
erage contract. The following
bids were submitted:
Doyle it Swartz Colorado
Springs $14400.
Geo. J. liaer Kansas Cjty $20-

The contract was awarded to
the first named. The successful
firm is one that has had much ex-
perience in sewerage work. The
contract will call for the comple-
tion of the work within four
months.
The total amount of sewerage to
!e put in is 15500 feet a little
Uss than thue miles. Starting
from the river south-east of town
the principal sewer comes in on
Florida avenue. It then runs
north entering the business part
of town on railroad street. From
the main sewer on this street
three branches extend west to
Fourth street. The firs passes
through the alley lietween Kansas
and CLick.isha avenues; the sec-
ond through tire alley lietween
Chickasha and Choctaw ave-
nues and the third between
Choctaw and Pennsylvania ave-
nues. This will cover the business
part of town pretty thoroughly.

Our city Officials and Property Owners w ho are using their ewry energy to the up-
building of Chickasha but you can not imjH'de the growth of our city or prevent
wise men from investing their money in Chickasha Real Potato. I am often asked
the question whether or not the values of Chickasha. real estate are not depreciating;
iu answer to tnis question most emphatically "No" but on the other hand appre-
ciating in value.
