ROUND-UP
ISJNDED
Law ton Okla. S'it. 30. The an-
nual round-up on the Wichita national
forest preserve a combination of
pleasure and business which Is one
of the biggest events of the season
among the cattlemen of this portion
of 4 he country successfully and hap-
pily ended with a big camp dinner at
the headquarters of Frank Rush for-
est supervisor.
The round ups are held every year
just about this time and every cattle-
man in the surrounding country par-
ticipates. The entire Wichita national
preserve which contains thousands of
acres is gone over by the party. Cat-
tle which are out of their owners'
ranch are herded together and re-
turned to where they belong.
These yearly round-ups to which all
cattlemen are invited have been going
on only for the last few years since
Frank Hush the present supervisor
arrived. He started the idea here and
from year to year it has been put into
practice and happily participated in
by the rangers and cattlemen.
About ten days ago the night be-
fore the start on the round-up was to
be made the headquarters of Mr. Rush
was Bwarraed with men ready for the
start. Everyone had their best cow
pony the blanket and camping outfit.
Before starting however Lieuten
ant Pupington was chosen "boss" of
the outfit.
Every nook and corner of the huge
forest was covered by this outfit and
while everyone enjoyed themselves to
the greatest extent good was accom-
plished and the fact that everything
was in good shape was established.

rlndispensable in Emergencies-
The sudden illness of a member of the
family demands prompt treatment and
remedies.
It's a case for the doctor a case where
minutes count. That's where the tele-
phone shows its value to the subscriber.
By means of the telephone the doctor
is reached and he at once tells the anx-
ious family what to do until he arrives.
No far sighted citizen gets along with-
out the protection of the telephone.
He can never tell when it is goinpr to save him from serious loss.
Besides he has daily proof of its usefulness.
