The Jointists in the Indian
Territory are havinng about as
hard a time as they do in Kansas
if we have no Mrs Nation.
Despite the dry spring- it i
thought that Oklahoma will har-
vest more wheat this year than it
did last aud a better quality.
Yesterday Bev C C Weith

Chickasaw Post No 18 of the

church. The Post atlended in a

Will Soon Leave Hoiton.
Aaron and Jay Sarbach pro-
prietors of The Columbia Clothing
Co. are making preparations to
leave llolton. They are having a
brick building erected in OalosS
auhn Indian Territory where they
will open a new clothing store.
The building is 25x100 feet two
story. It will be ready for oc-
cupauy about June I0tb.
They are having auction every
day and by the time their new
building ai chickasha is complet-
ed they will have dispose t of
their entire stock of clothing
shoes an i men's furnishings.
Early in Juue Aaron will attend
the Head Camp of the Modern
woodmen of America at St Paul
Minn. as a delegate from Kansas.
From there'he will go to Chicago
aud thence to New York city
where he will buy an entire stock
of clothing and men's furnishings
for the new store at chickasha.
The Messrs Sarbach are good
business men and up-to-date
clothiers. They have been in
business here for years and their
many friends regret to see them
leave. The best wishes of the
Hoiton people go with them to
their new home. The people of
chickasha will find them genial
conrteons and accommodating
business mea The Hoiton (Kan)

The Woman's Missionary So-
ciety of the Presbyterian church
met Thursday 24 inst at 3 p m in
the church opened with devotion-
al exercises conducted by Mrs
Harter. The report of the pro
ceedings of the Presbyterial So-
ciety was given by the delegate
Mrs Harter. Home Topic was
then taken up; Mrs J A Bose read
extracts from a letter written by
the Rev Caldwell Missionary at
Mi aquez describing a Porto
Bican Fete. Mrs Leonard gave
some interesting facts concerning
the situation in Porto Kico which
was very gratifying while the mis-
sion work is to young to present
any statistics is the encouraging
reports of the missionaries that
more people are attending service
than can be accommodated both
the Sabbath school aud day
school are crowded. The mission
in Porto Kico is not support-
ed out of the general funds of the
Home noard but it is dependent
on the special gifts of its friends.
This is not the fault of the noard.
it is due to the great expansion of
its work. Mrs I) M Johntson
read a paper oil the Foreign sub-
ject Siain and Laos giving a very
full account of the Geographical
positiou of the country religious
belief mode of living together
wah many points of interest with
regard to mission work and also
the favorable attitude of the gov-
ernment this was greatly enjoy-
ed A the close arrangements
were made for a public mission-
ary meeting to be held in the
church on the first Sabbath eve-
ning of June. Also arrange-
ments for the annual meeting of
Missionary Society aud Ladies
Social Circle on Thursday June
th at the residence of Mrs E M
Payne.
