Treaty Gives F.ach Osage 1 Go Acres
Of Land Lif Heart Lost.
Pawliuska O. T. Feb. 23.-111
letters received here lately from
Washington members of the Osage
treaty delegation say that a treaty
practically has been decided upon
for the allotment of the Osage lands
and the per capita division of tribal
funds. The treaty as now written
give each Osage citizen 160 acres
of land and permits him to select
of his own choice eighty acres of oil
and gas laud. The remaining sur-
plus is to be divided equally among
the tribal citizens. It is alWed
o
that the deal to perpetuate the
blanket lease of the Indian Terri-
tory eliminating oil companies will
be broken. The Governor Big
Heart combine was defeated ac-
cording to these letters through
tie representation of mixed bloods
assisted by full blonds who have
grown suspicious of Iiig Heart's
sincerity. The sojourn of the dele-
gation was enlivened by an en-
counter between Big Heart and
Bacon Rind in which Big Heart
came out second best.

is responsible for much of the prosperity of the
world. Nowadays a man's thrift is shown by the
fact that he has money in the bank. And thrift
is the father of prosperity. The ChicKa-

to start on the road to prosjierity. Open an ac-
count there today and start a habit of saving. It
is a mighty good habit.
