The Big Wild West is Here Today
For Two Performances.
The Younger-James aggregation
came in this morning and have
pitched their tents for their two
performances. The show grounds
are out near the Sparks addition
west of town. The parade this
morning whh splendid and typical
of the ehow these people give be
ing composed of cowboys rough-
riders cavalry Indians etc. etc.
from all indications and appear
ances it will be a hpleudid show;
the horses arc it good class and in
fine condition .
Tbcso people are very anxious to
make their winter quarters here
having found things to their likiug
in the way of feed etc. for their
stock. Tbe season is nearly over
and wagons bare to be tepainted
canvass overhauled and a hundred
other things done to get ready for
next season. They should have
all the encouragement possible for
it would mean great thing for
Chickasha.
Ttey carry over 300 bead of
horses a nusaber of wagons acre
of canvaes aud several hundred
men all of which will spend the
winter here and a great part of
their money will be spent here for
rent qaarters for their stock
board for thelf nseo etc. We
would like to tee tbe Fair Associ-
ation or tbe Commercial Club; get
to work and help locate these peo-
ple here for tta winter. The man-
agers are pleaeant agreeable busi-
ness men and their show a good
oleau exhibition worthy the patron-
age of the people.
The performance this afternoon
began at 2 o'clock with ssplendid
crowd.
It will be repeated this evening
at 7.

This afternoon the Pickens
Conuty Fair and Agricultural as-
socition are entertaining a splen
did crowd at the Fair Grounds
with some good racing.
The weather delayed the open-
ing which was to Lave been yes-
terday but the managers are all
smiles today and the events on
the card will be run as announced.
The track has dried out in good
shape and indications point to
tome records being broken in al
most etervtbinz.
Tbe events on toe cams are two
nurse races a pace and a trot and
two running races the entries to
which were not announced until
too late for. publication.
