Gentlemen : t suffer 1 with Enema
on the hands and f bcp foi1 over a year It
was not only annoying and painful but
very unsightly and I mihked to go out
in the street. I tried at least a doioil
soaps and salves which did nic abso-
lutely no eood and became verv much
discouraged until I read In the papers of the cures per'
formed through the use of S. S. S and determined to give it
a month's trial at least. I am pleased to state that I soon no-
ticed a slight improvement sufficient to decide me to keep it
up. After the use of six bottles my skin was as soft and
smooth as an Infant's. This was a year ago and I have never
had any trouble since. Miss Gxnkva Br toes.

I tried doctor's medicines salves
washes and all kinds of local applica-
tions treating Eczema of long stand-
ing but with on'y temporary relief
The itching and burning from Ecsetna
jvas more than I can describe. Matty
nights I was unable to sleep on account of
the awfitl netting Weeing s 5. 8 adver-
tised I began its usp and after' taking it for some time the dry
edematous eruptions disappeared and I was entirely relieved
of this awful itching and burning It is a boon to Eczema
sufferers and I can conscientiously recommend it to them
believing confidently that a permanent cure will be effected
in alt such cases where it is taken according to directions.'

All skin diseases hare their seasons; ao.ne are active in the summer while others He dormant until cold
Trcather when the first breath of winter brings them to life and they remain to torment us until spring. Through
the long hot months Winter Fc2euia sleeps in the system and when cold weather begins it breaks out The head
hands and feet are the parts usually attacked but other parts of Uie bodylnay be affected by this "flash fire."
The skin becomes feverish hard and dry crncke Open and often bleeds and the itching is terrible. While the trou-
ble shows on the skin the cause is far deeper. This truption is but nature's way of telling' that the fountain of nil
health the blood is diseased and must have relief. It is filled with uric acid Und other poisons which are forced
through the pores causing the natural oils which should keep the skin soft and pliable to dry up. These acids

as washes salves powders etc. is useless in effecting a cure because they can-
not g' t to tne seat or beginning of the trouble. The oast they can do is to jrive
the patient relief for a little while. The blood must be cleansed of ell acids and
poisons and the system toned and built up before a cure can be had. S. S. S.

kinds of Interest as tho mWtetoe.
Tl nt htranse shrub Is a wonder From

ytllowish gren leav( which special-
ly affects the branches of apple tree
pears and poplars. And this thje man-
ner of the generation of mistletoes
The young seedlings sprout On n
brareh o? their involuntary b -st
where the seed has been carried by
birds. Instead of rooting themselves
however like grounc.it plants by
bnjall fibrous rootlets they fasten by
a sort of sucker-like process to' the
tissues of the tree on which they feed.
t.na penetrating Its bark to the living
la.'er Just beneath suck up elaborated
rap from the veins of their victim.
Tims they live at the expenje of the
tree whose food they appropriate and
when many of them together Infeat t
single tree they sueeecu In stra:s'lng
and choking the foliage of their un-
happy host.
Mistletoe berries are much sourM
after by sundry fruit-eating birds but
i-Rpeciallv by the mistle thrush. As
tbe bird eats the berries. It gets the
needs entangled on Us feet and bill by
tl.e sticky Surroundings and then
f: leg away to another tree. It gats rid
of them In turn by rubbing them side-
v.ays on a fork of the branch. That
happens to be the precise spot that
1 est suits the young mistletoe as a
place for sprouting it If it fell onto
the ground beneath It would be unable
to malntr.fn Itself.
Nares tells us that "The custom
!r't and most falthfulty preserv-
ed was tne hanging up of a bunch of

hall with the cbarm attached to It
that the maid who was not kissel
under It at Christmas would not be
married that vear" and still the glam
our of love and kisses hangs about
tbe clear-berried bush.
This plant wa of old held to be so
