SINGLE STATEHOOD GAINING.
(St Louis Globe-Democrat )
The project for a union of Oklaho-
ma and the Indian territory anil tlwlr
admission as a single 4tate Is gain-
ing grounJ Ex Governor C. M.
) Jam eg came provisionally and tem-
porarily over to the single statehood
side recently and many other 'promi-
nent persons who were heretofore
against It are It Is rfald about to make
a similar move. In an address made
a few days ago at the seventh annual
meeting of the Oklahoma Bankers' as-
sociation the ex-governor pointed out
that "the business interests of the
two terrltorlPB are already so Inter-
woven a -i to admonish us that as soon
as conditions can be so adjusted as
to equalize bunl.-ni and benefits we
shoul i Jo'n handri In one organisation
instead of two "
Of oiurp the accession of the. ex-
Koornir to the ranks of ilio unionists
would if he should remain with them
help the a alrbood ino mont It
would qhow that thtic !? a Kencral
drift among the proniuu nt men of the
two territories In fnor of consolida-
tion and this would have a tendency
to gain a little more attention for the
project than'lt has boon able to com-
mand from congress hitherto. The
fact that there was a division among
the people of the two territories on
the subject of union was cettain in
any event to delay admission even
though as in the case of each of the
territories a large majority of the
people favored union
Congress Is unalterably opposed to
the admission of the two territories
as separate states. This is a fact
which ought to be faced by the sepa-
ratists The persistence of the de-
mand for the creation of two states In
the case of Oklahoma and the Indian
territory will prevent both from be-
ing admitted. It is either union or
nothing with congress. This fact lna
been made so plain that there ig no
longer any excuse for denying or ig-
noring It. The way for the citizens ot
the two territories to get admission Is
to demand union and to silence tho
separatists. In area the new state
would be about the same alza as the
average of it neighbors. Kaoh Mo-
tion would supply something which
ithe other lacka. United the two tor-
ritorlea would make a symmetrical and
powerful commonwealth which would
start out with five members of tho
popular branch of congress. Oklaho-
ma and the Indian territory can by
agreeing to pool their Issues got ad-
mission before the prevent congress

Editor Leader:
In defense of Dr Oulley as I was one
of the signers of affidavit which pro-
coured Dr. his license to practice med-
icine In Ok. I will give my reasons
why My wife was almost In her
grave almost every ailment a poor wo-
man could have. We tried four of the
old school physician. Dr. Rlesh one
of them he was the frmlly physician
ior two years. Paid him as much as

any source was only of short duration
My wife got worse and worse we got
poorer and poorer in finance. She was
It beemed past all hope. We beg&n
Dr Gulley's treatment two years ago.
We have never had a physician In our
home since. My wife is in better
health than she has been In many
years. We keep all the family in good
health by tlie use of Dr. Gulley's med
icine which cost us less than $2 perj
year Wc never think of being sick
again As long as we are under the
care of the 20h Century Health asso-
ciation I have talked to several par-
lies who have taken his treatment.
Kvery one expressed themselves as
being well pleased anU think Dr. Gul-
ley a benefactor. Thomas Kent.

I have this much to say. I was one
of the signers of the affidavit which
procured the Dr. his license and 1 am
proud of it. I took Dr. Gulley's treat-
woiit In Illinois five yoars ago. I wis
largely benefited. A number of my

From the artlclo in your paper yes-
terday I see that Dr. Gulley Is being
persecuted b' the board of health. I
wish to say in defense of this man
who I think a great benefactor my
wife has been very weakly from her
childhood. She took treatment with
the regular physicians all her life no
lasting benefit. She took Dr. Gulley's
treatment two years ago. We have
never had to call a physician since.
She is now In better health than sho
htiB bsn In since childhood. I think
this nnturalcure system the groat
panacea for all human ailmonts. A
number of my neighbors took his
trantment. I havo nover hoard one of
