ETHICAL DOCTORS

Dp Not Believe in Adver
Using Yet They nse Col-
umns Apparently for no
Other Purpose
From Olmarroti Valley Clipper- The
breaking out of the ethical doctors of
Guthrie and other points has Its
amusing aa well aa its serious aide to
consider. The amusing side appears
when one kuowa that these ' ethical'
students claim to not believe in adver-
tising yet grasp tho very flimsiest
opportunity to set Into print which ts
nothing more nor lesB.
The serious Bide of their situation
bods up when the cause for this rush
Into the newspapers appears to bo
none other than the fact that the doc-
tors who use more printers Ink and
less "ethics" are getting the bulk ot
the practice while the "ethical" fel-
lows are left with more time to attend
to other people's business than is re-
quirej to look after the! own.
Doctor Barker of Guthrie and h's
co-workers in Oklahoma seem to be
after the scalp of Dr Cowdrlck of
tin Id because he will not let them
run his office.
We are not taking up this "scrap
for the benefit of any doctor or set ot
doctors but simply for the reason that
tie medical men of the ethical S'iI
generally expect too much of thn
nevspapert- for whicu thev lo not

for a locality in order to populate It
to that extent that one or more doc
tors may thrive and grow financially
fnt ye this ethical tribe are actually
i&sultea if we ask them to carry an
advertisement in the columns that
spread the glad tidings to the people
abroad.
It would be wel' If a law was puss
ed forolng tho doctfire who are In
possession of n remedy that would
be beneficial to tho gonorol public to
advertise tho fact. If they know of
or can manufacture n romody that will
cure or benefit humanity thoy should
let the people know It just the same
as u grooer or a dry goo Is doalor lets
the pumrBKmnv of tho bargains tby
have on their counters. Thorp is no
law except a business law :hnt
forces the merchant to advertise yot
if a person could have a life by adver-
tising a remody and on account of
"ethics" will not vdo so thoy should
be held legally liable. Get down off
your "othlcal" perch gentlomen use
more printors Ink more common
sonse and loss "othlcs" and you will
be a boon to mankind and sot a prece-
dent that will honor futuro posterity.
