The Hygiene of Old Age.
We look upon tho aged with good
reason as having a slender hold upon
life 0110 that may be loosened by a
slight shock or injury or disease
which In tbo young or middle-aged
would servo only as a stimulus to the
reparative vital powers. This Is a
conservative belief but It warns us
to shield our loved ones who havo
fought tbo fight from all Influences
which might shorten their stay with
us. But 'wo must not go too fur In
our solicitude for Injury may be In-
flicted aod life shortened by coddling
tho old almost as surely as by coddl-
ing tbo young. The vital processes
in the aged are slow but they arc
still existent and they may bo kept
active by gentle opposition and stim-
ulation Just as they may be Increased
In childhood and joutli by rough
methods. D'. Caldwell's Syrup Pepslo
and Herb Laxative Compound Is a
boon to tbo aged and JnQrm and prob-
ably no medicine has accomplished so
much or received as high or as many
Indorsements from men and women
whoso extreme ago gives them a
seemingly slender Hold upon life. Dr.
Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin makes per-
fect digestion and acts gently upon
the bowels In an easy and pleasant
manner. Tones up the entire system
and prolongs life. 60c and 11 bottlm.
