four sisters all save ono of whom

her eldest brother. Mrs. King had
been an Invalid for years but about
tho first of January last sho was taken
down with a complication of troubles
and for more than a month past there
has been llttlo hope of recovery.
Tho deceased lived a pure nnd
beautiful life and died us sho had
lived. Death to tho living Is horrlblo
always but there is something pa-
thetic nnd wonderful in tho courago
and faith with which a frail little
woman can face impending and con-
scious dissolution. Through days and
weeks and months tho silent sufferer
lay with calm courago and clear sight
looking Into an open grave. Ah! who
can toll of-tho anguish of broken plans
and battled hopes of missionary work
with tho husband of her youth whoso
llfo and work was knit with hers?
Sho boro her sufferings meekly sho
trod tho wlno press alone and with
unfailing faith and tenderness took
leave of life.
