I? UOILE Mr. Mllford's little daugh-
tcr after a sovcre illness of
nearly five weeks' duration seems now
on the way to recovery. Without any
knowledge of her exposure she devel-
oped a case of scarlet fever on the 20th
of December; ten days or two weeks
later she had so far recovered as to bo
dressed tvhen an affection of tho kid
neys set In and her condition was con
sidered critical up to tho first ot this
week. Utter Isolation (quarantine)
has been observed by the family and
will be a few days longer until It Is
deemed safe to disinfect tho house.
Every precaution has been taken to
prevent tho spread of the disease and
with apparent success.
