possibly for this reason that sixteen differ-

"What is August Flower for ?"
Ah easily answered as asked. It is
for Dyspepsia. It is a special rem
edy for the Stomach and Liver.
Nothing more than this. We believe
Mtgust Flower cures Dyspepsia.
Wc know it will. We have reasons
for knowing it. To-day it has an
honored place in every town and
country store possesses one of the
'nrgest manufacturing plants in the
-ountry and sells everywhere. The
reason is simple. It does one thing
jud does it right. It cures dyspepsia

of dynnmtte wero contraband nnd to
tho ahnmo of the shippers of this con-
traband dynamite It has caused tin
menso loss of Ufa nnd vast dnmago to

Tho fire was first discovered In tho
coal bunkers nnd Is said to havo been
due cither to spontaneous combustion
or to some narelcssncss upon the part
of tho engineers or firemen. In any
caso flames brokoout from the bunkors

made to savo the steamer. Tho pro-
vincial governor who was ono of tho
first to rench tho spot displayed tho
greatest activity In directing the oper-
ations and upon learning that the
ship's manifest showed that thcro wcro
twenty cases of dynnmlto on board the
firemen were directed to assist the
crew In bringing this quantity of ex-
plosive material ashore This was dono
in safety nnd it was believed no
more dynnmlto romalnod on board and
a tug which had been hastily sum
moned to tho spot was ordored to tow
the burning vessel out Into tho bay In
order that tho flames might not com-
municate to tho wharf and to adjoin-
ing property which was of a decidedly
combustible nature many of the build
ings consisting of rickety old houses
which a few sparks might set on fire.
At about 4:30 p. in. a detonation on
board showed as It afterward turned
out that tho boilers had burst nnd
soon nfter thcro was another tcrrlbl
detonation heard. The steamer soemed

rested for several minutes. Then a ro-

that It shook the earth for miles

with a mass of flying Iron burning
wood blackened timbers and scorched
beams which soon nfter fell a. death-
deling hall upon the neighboring
houses scattering duath and destruc-
tion wherever It crushed downward.
Tho scene that followed the blowing
up of tho steamer Is almost Indescriba-
ble nnd the effect of the explosion ot
the forty-eight cases ot dynamite wilt
hardly be believed. The power of tho
explosion shot tons of Iron Into the nlr
where It mingled with the burning
fragment of the steamship tug and
wooden rpay as well as with the
mangled bodies of hundreds ot the un-
fortunate peoplo who wero hurled up-

of this horrlbjg mass can bo better Im-

The effect of tho explosion upon tha
Inhabitants of Santandcr was bewilder-

a mass of buildings nnd which bcjjnn
to spread with the most threatening
rapidity.
The quay and promenade close to the
scene of the explosion presented the
most sickening sight ever witnessed.
Munglcd and blnckened corpses were

ns If there had been another blunder
by some ono In connection with tho re-
cent accident to the battleship Texas
nt the Norfolk navy yard. Tho acci-
dent it Is churged was due to n care-
less Inspection of thu material used un-
der her boilers or else to n miscalcula-
tion In determining the strength of the
supports necessary to hold up tho boil-

really caused the vessel to list over and
lead peoplo to believe she was about
to turn turt'c was the breaking
of the supports under tho boilers and
almost allowing the two bollern to go
through to the bottom fortunately
the accident happened alongside the

It showed tli.1t wlion the le.s was

consideration paid to tho strength of

KENNEDY'S
MEDICAL JJISCOVERY
DONALD KENNEDY OF ROXBURY MASS
Has discovered In one of our common
pasture weeds a remedy that cures eery
kind of Humor from the worst Scrofula
down to n common Pimple.
He has tried It In over eleven hundred
cases and never failed except In two cases
(both thunder humor). He has now In his
possession over two hundred certificates
of Us value all within twenty miles of
Boston.
A benefit Is nlwavs experienced from
the first bottle and a'perfect cure Is war-
ranted when the right quantity is taken.
When the lungs are affected It causes
shooting pains like needles passing
through themj the same with the Liver or
Bowels. This Is caused by the ducts being
stopped and always disappears In a week
after taklnp; It.
If the stomach Is foul or bilious It will
cause squeamish feelings at first.
No change of diet ever necesssry. Eat
the best you can xet. and enough of It.
Dose one tablepoonful in water at bed-
time. Reid the Label. Send for Book.
