mportant Mooting to bo Hold
at Vinlta June 26th
A number of stockmen constituting
a cominltteo previously appointed mot
at Wagonur last Friday night to con-
sider further tho organization of tho
protective and dctcctivo association.
C. M. McOlcllau president took tho
chair and John C. Anderson of Vinlta
was selected secretary. Tho original
proposition was to placo 4 brand in-
spectoi on eaeh of tho three lines of
railroad. As this plan seemed im-
practicable because there would be
shipments at several stations on tho
samo road the same day it was con-
cluded that a better way would bo to
placo an inspector at Kansas City one
at Chicago anil one at St. Louis. As
the committee did not feel authorized
to chango tho original plan a goneral
meeting was called at Vinlta on Satur-
day Juno 2oth 1892. All stock men
tho small as well as tho largo aro
earnestly requested to bo present and
join tho organization. It is estimated
that there will bo 200000 head of cattle
shipped from tho territory proposed to
bo imbrabed In this organization tills
season. An assessment of ono cent n
head on this number will give $2000
and Willi this nun It is hopod three
inspectors and a secretary or book-
keeper can bo maintained during tho
succeeding livo months. A great many
rattlo aro shipped by others than
their owners in somo cases by accident
and In others purposely and a system
of careful Inspection scorns the only
remedy. At tho meeting on tho 25th
olllcers and Inspectors will bo elected
and tho organization pofectcd.

ever tho M. K. AT. railway will do

termining this great question by
