knowing that Moody had been hit
went over to him and offorcd him his
Winchester but to his surprlso found

submitted. The fathor of Jed Borry-
hlll who was in tho houso at the time
was also arrested. Tho death of Mar-
shal Moody is deeply felt by ho cltizons
of Tulsa hero ho had ma J his head-
quarters through tho winter and won
many warm friend's. Ho was known
throughout the territory as a bravo im-
partial and efficient ofllcer. His fune-
ral took placo thoro on tho 10th Inst.
nnd was largely nttcuded Dr. Lough-
ridgo officiating and many woro tho ex-
pressions of regret nt his untimoly
ond. Druncrhad surrendered to tbo
otllcers a few days previously learning
that thoy held a warrant for him but
was told to go home; that he would bo
notified when wanted. The warrant
was for complicity In tho killing of tho
old pumper at tho Frisco tank a year
or so nt. llruner denied tho crime
but stated that ho was willing to testi-
fy as to who committed tho murder.

interview with Chief Mnjes. Mr.

not bo an extra session of council this

take such a hopeless viow of our mat-
