charged with horso-atealing from
Henry Starr tho BherlfT at Tahlcqnah

ed States Deputy Marshal Rico Wed-
ncsday night on tho oastbound Frisco
train near Pclrco City. Ross was serv-
ing a prison scntonco of five years at
rahlcquah for robbery and recently
escaped having served over four years.
United States Commissioner Jones has
committed him to Jail to await action
from Tahlequah authorities. Ross'
wife who is a Cherokco accompanied
him to this city. y

last Monday to attend tho annual moot-
ing of tho Chcrokeo Slockmons' asso-

Clark tho president Joseph Hunt was

sas claimed Jurisdiction. Frank Mc-
Kco and James Mooro companions of
the tbiovca sent up last soason are now
under arrest and their preliminary
trials occur next week in Lnbotto coun-
ty. If bound over they will bo turned
over to tho federal authorities at Fort
Smith where a conviction is not so dif
ficult to Bccuro. It is proposed to break
up cattlo stealing in this region at any
coot.

onable grounds for suspicion wo trust
