AND GREATEST OF THESE
IS WARREN
Oklahoma City Aug. 30 A
delegate to a labor organization
who "gave" his lime and atten-
tion to spreading republican pro-
paganda during the last campaign
and has since been recognized by
being appointed to a minor po-
sition is proudly declaring that
"Harding is one of the three
greatest presidents."
Another laborer out of employ-
ment asks that hisanswer to the
appointee's statement be publish-
ed and it is worth reproduction.
He says:
"Yes Harding is the greatest
of the great presidents. It took
George Washington eight years
to free his coflntry and Lincoln
freed the slaves after a four years
struggle then the greatest war of
history.
"In six months Harding de-
stroyed the agricultural and
stock raising people of this might
iest of al nations; he annihilated
the oil industry and at cording to
United States Senator Arthur
Capper (republican) there has
been more failures in the last six
months than in am like p"n.f in

These Tires Will Not Skid
There's a sense of security in motoring with
the unusually non-skid Horse-Shoe Cord Tire.
You know your tires will not skid even when
you turn corners at 20 miles an hour on wet
and sliopery pavements.
Each little shoe in the Horse-Shoe tread forms
a near-vacuum that takes hold of the road
with a stubborn grip which is as effectively
anti skid as tire chains.
Then there is the satisfaction of knowing that the
wider tread of this tire gives longer life by wearing
down slowly and evenly making your tire cost-per-mile
surprisingly low.
We shall be glad to prove to you by actual tests why the
Horse-Shoe Tire is the safest and most economical
tire local motorists can buy.

tht nation's history. Millions f
laborers like myself are out oi'
employment and Wall Street i-
again in complete conrtol of t!
nation's finances. In fact tasr
president has reduced the.mot
prosperous'nalion in the world to
general industrial collapse. In
point or actual accomplishmcafc
he is not one among the thw
greatest but he is the grcatefr
and it is going to require the
courage and sanity of our citizen-
ship to prevent him doing cv
more of these 'great things.'
Of course the reader must -n.
sidcr the sepcrate viewpoint.
The Harding admirer drew a sug-
ary from a labor organization rVj
services he should have rendered
and also from the government
for services he was presumed to
render. The other drew no salary
although willing to work for jw
one person and to render uont
service to his employer.
But the unemployed whilc
viewing the situation from th
standpoint of bitterness dro4
the truth in hard.
The Reckoning.
It's well we should feel that life's a
reckoning we can't make twice over;
there's no real making amends In this
world any more nor you can mend a
wrong subtraction y doing your addi-
tion right George Eliot
