City made a speech in favor of
Thomas P. Gore at McAlester
Saturday night before a large
crowd that had gathered to hear
what he had to say. He re-
hearsed everything that has
been talked about in the Ferris-
Gore campaign and was at
many times given hearty cheers
from the crowd lie spoke for
about 11-2 hours saying that
Thomas P. Gore will get the
nomination by from 50000 to
130000 votes over Scotl Ferris.
Jean is a good lawyer and a
forceful speaker. Wallace Wil-
Uerson of McAlester made reply
to Jean P. Day's speech and he
Is another lawyer and not afraid
or ashamed of his side of the
