norvo mix all togothor moisten with
n good mayonnaise; till tho rolls full
up to the top; put tho llttlo pieco of
cniBt you havo saved on tho top and
serve at once.

before slicing. Spread each slico with

cover with another slico of bread that
baa been buttered and coated with a
lnyer of cheeso. Press tho two to-

mado by first chopping tho meat flno.

blespoonfuls of melted butter a dash
of cayonno and ono half toaspoonful of
onion juice. Sproad thin slices of but-
tered bread with tho paste; cover with
another slico of buttered broad; ro-
movo tho crusts and cut Into fancy
shapes If desired.
At ono Memorial day picnic tho fruit
cookies disappeared almost beforo
lunch time. Tho cook who conducted

calls for a cupful of butter 1 V6 cupfuls

well-beaten oggs; add tho Boda

flour sifted with tho salt and cinna-
mon; toss tho fruit and nut meats in
a llttlo of tho flour add thoso and
thon tho balance of tho flour; drop by
spoonfuls ono Inch apart on a huttorcd
tin and bako In a modorato oven.
Preparing Dough
' After cooky dough has boon pro-
pared instead of using a cutter in tho
old way turn out part of tho dough at
n time on bread board and with hand
roll a long round roll nbout flvo Inchos
thick. Thon with a sharp knlfo cut
off In small pieces about one-half Inch
thick; placo In baking pan and give
plonty of room to swell or spread. Will
bake in perfect shapo and Is much
quicker.
