Cromer-Crawford
In last wok's editon of this
paper Wenujj an assumption
that Harry. L. Cremer and Miss
Cent Crawford went somewhere
on Wednesday to get maaried.
It .ias bean discovered since then
that they were united in the hoiy
bonds nt Walters and returned
to Elgin on tho eleven o'clock
train Thursday. Tho happy cou-
ple for tho present are residing
at the Hotel Elgin.
The groom is a son of Mrs. Ad-
die Cremer of Elgin. He is a
young man of good character
and ranks high among the young
gentlemen in and around Elgin.
He is engaged in the farming
business west of Elgin.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs.
R. .1. Crawford of the Hotel El
gin and is one of the popular
young Indies hero. She is one of
the accomplished teachers of the
public schools of Comunche coun-
ty. The Champion joins their man-
y friends in wishing them a hap-
py and prosperous nurried life.

The homa talent play. "Better
Thau Gold" was given at Cyril
last Tuesday evening and is re-
ported success.
The town of Devol held an e-
lection on Dec. 18 and decided to
install an electric ligh plant.
The city of Frederick is having
quite a dog-killing time trying
to get rid of the mad dogs.
Two brothers who had been
separated for forty seven years
met in Hollis last week.
Cecil Baker of near Roosevelt
was accidently shot in the calf
of hisf leg while baiting aome
traps he had ?et.
A Mexican stole a pair of trous-
ers at Cement last week but
was caught and the trousers re
covered.

cd. The Lawton postoflke was o-
pen from 9:30 to 12 a. m. on
Christmas Day.
The Home Mission at Lawton
gave a dinner Christmas Day
for the poor of that city.
A poor woman left a girl baby
on the doorsteps of the residence
of E. r. Bayless at Lawton
Christmns Eve. He made no at
tempt to find the woman but
will keep the child and rear it.
The soldier boys at Ft. Sill had
a big dinner on Christmas Day.
State Examiner Fred Parkin-
son was in Lawton Monday mak-
ing demands upon the county
treasurer and clerk to make out
certain reports and send them to
him. h
Judge Frank .Hall of Lawton is
on the sick list.

denly called away last week so
all the work of publishing this
