Saturday night and re-employed
J. H. Willhite as principal for
the coming school year. The
other two places were not filled
at that time.
Miss Mae Carter the primary
teacher has boon offered a
school near her home at Sterling
at $70 per month and she will
likely accept the oiFer.
Roosevelt Coming.
John P. Hickman has announ-
ced that Mr. Roosevelt will de-
liver ten speeches in Oklahoma
in the interest of the progressive
state ticket. He also announced
that Albert J. Beveridgo of In-
diana Victor Murdock and Hen-
ry J. Allen of Iansu3 and Gov-
ernor Johnson of California will
come to this state and make a
number of speeches in the inter-
est of the progressive ticket.

80 pounds but Hiram refused to
accept the offer. So Chickasha

It is said that tho largest
crowd that was ever in the Elgin
school auditorium was assem-
bled Friday night to witness tho
closing day exercises.
Every available space was ti-
ken standing room was nt n
premium ami some had to re-
main on the stairway. Many
wore present fiom the country
from miles around and from the
neat by towns.
f All seemed to be well plensed
with the program there being
it number of spicy recitations nnd
several drills which showed the
ability of the pupils The exer-
cises lasted for more than two
hours but no one seemed to gut
tired.

been removed to Iftiwton where
it will be used in the publication
of the Comanche County Citizen.
This leaves Cache without a pa-

day to stay with her sister and
family for a few days while they
are sick with the measles.
