The squabble over the text
books to be used in our public
schools of Oklahoma have been
settled at last the supreme
court of the United States hav-
ing denied the application of
Wheeler & Co for a writ of er-
ror. This matter lias been in the
courts for nearly two years and
is a disgrace to our state. The
whole matter could have been
avoided had not some of our
state officials had a determina-
tion to outdo some of the others.
The case has cost the state a
large sum of money besides and
the voters would do well to find
out who was to be blamed and
politely leave their names blank
nt the August primnry should
they seek rcnomination.
