ment published in your Dnper some two
or three weeks ago made by a gentle-
man living near Boyd Oklahoma his
namo w a s Benscottcr I believe
In this statement this man said pota
toes in tho San Luis Vnlley made from
seventy-five to one hundred and twen-
tyfive bushels per acre. Enclosed you
will find n clipping from our local town
paper Tho Monto Vista Tribune. This
clipping will bo self explanatory.
I wish to state that the yield men-
tioned in this affidavit is not unusnal.
I have seen potato fields that yielded
100 sacks per acre.

piece of advertising in the shape of a
reproduction of a photograph of tho
O'Toolo potato field in the Carmel dis-
trict south of Monte Vista. Reproduc-
ed on tho picturo is tho following affi-
davit: "I hereby certify that O. T. Davis
Photo No. 18&J is a picturo of my 1921
Potato Crop in tho Carmel District
Southwest of Alamosa. The potatoes
where this picture was taken yielded
300 sacks or 550 bushels per aero.
I also certify thot from 43 acres of
wheat 1921 crop I threshed 1996 bush-
els. W. R. O'TOOLE.
