The political affiliation of local
candidates for county office iu this
county was pretty much disre-
garded In Tuesday's election much
scratching of tickets being done by
bcth the republicans and deinociats
but when it came to National affairs
everything went Republican. It was
a sweeping victory for the O. O. P.
Normally Beaver county is conceded
to be about 200 or 2S0 republican.
Tuesday's vote Indicates that very
few republicans. It any went against
their National ticket and many
democrats voted under the eagle
this year as well.
Hording Harreld SwIndaU. Her-
ri ck and Steffen carried Beaver
county by a big margin.

HUIIHAI! FOR HTKKKKN
Honorable J. V. Steffen. of La-
Kemp has again been elected Rep-

by a majority of 773 and It Is re-
ported on reliable authority that
he rau clone or. ahead of his ticket

Ih that county by a fair majority.
The Herald Is Indeed glad to note
the leeloctlon of J. W. Steffen. Ho
made good In his first term and we
are pretty much ot a believer that
one good term deserves another.
Ha will be right on the job when
the legislature convenes you can
depend on that and Deaver and
Hanler county will be beard from.
He'll not be able to get all the
things perhaps that we would like to
have but hell be found trying and
