LITTLE CHILD WES OF IURNS.
Little Pauline four-ynar-old daugh-
ter of County Olerk and Mrs. Aura
Foster was critically burned Friday
ef last week about the noon hour.
She died early Saturday morning
Funcrat services were conducted at
the Christian church Sunday morning
at It o'clock by Rev. L. L. Shaw
pastor and interment made in the
Beaver cemetery. Tho Truax Under-
taking Company were in charge.
The traglo death of little Pauline was
n ) of the saddest that has occured in
our town for many a day. It was all
so sudden and terrible and the shock
so great to the parents. One day their
little one waa in perfect health and
life aeemedbtight for her. The next
hour the terrible accident had befallen
her and she was snatched from them
almost before they realised it. The
shock was one from which they will
not soon recover.
Mr. Foster's father had been clean"
ing up about the premises and was
burning trash. The fire was left burn-
ing while the family ate dinner and
the little girl who was playing about
the yard but who had been cautioned
to stay away from the fire played too
near it and bor clothing caught. She
ran screaming toward the house the
breeze fanning the flames greater as
she ran. The father and mother hear-
ing her cries rushed to her and with-
in a few moments had entirely smoth-
ered out the flames but not until she
had been fatally burned about the
neok and chest. Her condition was
not considered alarming until only
a short time before death called her
little spirit away. In trying to save
their little one Mr. and Mrs. Foster's
hands were frightfully burned.
Tho sincerest sympathy is extendi d
to the young parents in their herein e-ment.1
