Calvin Williams was visiting old
friends here Saturday and Sunday.
Mr. Meaner had a load of kafir corn
stolen last welc. This is getting to be
a frequent occurrence in this neigh-
borhood several loads having been
stolen lately.

Quite a number of friends gathered
at II. B. Wright's Friday evening to
Join in celebrating Mrs. Wright's
birthday. A very pleasant evening
was spent In games and conversation.
About midnight a dainty lunch was
served after which the guests took
their leave wishing their hostess very
many more happy birthdays.

last Thursday. (
Miss Remy and Miss Verla Stevens
were shopping id Laverne Saturday.
What might have been a serious
accldunt happened last Thursday eve-
ning when Glen Stevens was returning
from the mailbox. His horse slipped
a n u leu with him. No bones were
broken but his left foot and ankle was
pretty badly strained and bruised. He
is not able to walk on it yet.
F. A. Stevens has been helping C. W
Adams ceil his house this week.
Miss Jessie Fuller spent Sunday
with Milt Nerla Stevens.
