home commencing at H o'clock and it
was one of the best musleal entertain-
ments ever given in Beaver. Those
who failed to attend missed a great
treat.
Heaver has a band of which the citi-

"Farmer" Prize Winner.
"Chief" Garrett returned last week
from Woodward where he attended
the big Annual Poultry dhow at that
place the lirst of the week.
"Chief" took over his choice pen of
Barred Plymouth Hocks nnd entered
in the exhibit. Hit was nwarded the
First Prize on 1 Is big cockerel "Farm-
er." wliloh weighed llli pounds nnd
was t'' heaviest bird on the grounds
of any vnriety. The exhibit comprised
about 700 birtls "Chief" had tho
only Beaver County chickens nt the
show . lie was well pleased and says
he will go again.
"Woodrow Wilson" Comes to
Beaver.
Our townspeople wuro much sur-
prised Sitlurday morning when it was
announced that "Wood row Wilson"
bad paid Heaver 11 visit the night bo-
fore nnd so well wns ho pleased with
our little city that he had decided to
slay perunneutlv nnd htid been cheer-
fully taken into the household of JuJge
and Mrs. 11 D Meese. Thu Judge
feels much pulled up over entertaining
tho President-elect.
School Faculty Entertained.
Prof. Ciyde Green Principal of tho
Graded School entertained thu Facul-
ty of the Grades and High School and
a few friends nt the home of his
mother Tuesday at G o'clock dinner.
The hospitality of this pleasant homu
was most cordial and tho guests were
highly entertained.
Mrs E. B Gardner nnd children left
list week for Fobs where thoy will
upend the winter with Mrs. Gardner's
parents Mr nnd Mrs W R Hollis.

past week. Mr. Maxwoll leccntly

winter but expects to return in tho
spring.
P. L. Thomas was uble to bo down on
the Btreet today for the first time slnco
his accident of several weeks ago when
'Sunday School Rill" W T. Qulnn's
hnrsq ran away and Mr Thomas was
injured. He is nut entirely over his
injury yet but is ablo to get about
without tho tiro of crutches.
