I low Typhoid is Spread
Typhoid one of the most loathsome
of the many diseases with which hu-
man beings are alllicted is spread in
many ways It is essentially a lllth
disease. The dairyman who supplies
you milk may hate an infected well.
His cans and bottles are washed in the
infected .water and this meanE
that the milk will be infected A
person infected with what is .known
as walking typhoid may spread liie in-
fection broadcast. A polluted water
supply Ib not infrequently the source
of a community epidemic of this disease
Flies are recognized carriers becniiRe
of their habits and because of their
presence In the homes And yet ty-
phoid is one of the preventable dis-
eases. Destroy or abolish tho source
of infection and the spread ot the dis-
ease is stopped at owe. This meam.
that milk water and food must be
kept untainted and tho dangerous
little house fly must bo kept out of nil
places of human habitation. And re-
member that every death from typhoid
is due to one's candessuess that in
this dBy of intelligent sanitary ad-
ministration Is little short of criminal
