Senator Dnkor's Amondmont.
Senator linker has proposed an
amendment to the Indian appropriation
bill which If passed will grant U the
absentee Wyandotte Indians 100 acres
of grain and grass bind in Kiowa Co-
manche nnd Apuche reservation in Ok-
lahoma. The money heretofore appro-
priated by Congress to purchase homes
for tho Wyandottes shall by the terms
of this amendment be placed to tho
credit cf tha Kiowa and Comanche
Indian.
The original appropriation for the
Wyandottes was for HO acres of land for
each person and this it was contem-
plated should be located in the north-
eastern part of the Indian Territory.
It is held that the land here is much
more valuable than the land asked for
In the present amendment which makes
the Increased amount requested lfio
acres within reason. It la stated that
the Kiowa and Comanche reservation la
composed of stock land.
