Now for the Reunion!
At the meeting last Saturday which
had been called to make arrangements
for the big District Reunion which
meets in Beaver on September 17 and
continues tin et days it was decided to
appoint an executive committee of seven
persons thrco from the G. A. 11. Post
of Beaver ouo from the S. of V. one
from the Beaver Cornet Band and two
citizens. J. R. Scncenich II. C. Drum
and N. A. Pcckham wero choacn to rep-
resent soldiers Wm. Quinu for the S.
of V. Dyke Ballimjcr for the band and
A. N. Cra timer end Frank Laughrin
citizens. There was a question as to
whether it would be best to hold the
reunion in town or in a grove but it was
decided that tho tuwn would be the
proper place. It was moved and carried
that any member of the executive corns
mittco who should fail to attend a duly
called meeting without good excuse
should be fined one dollar to go to the
"chuck fund."
After tbe mecticg adjourned tno ex-
ecutive committco met and ap-
pointed a music committee consisting of

able to u'tvi more information as to the

lee Cream made by a new Process.
I hare an ice cream freexer that will freete
cream instantly. Tbe cream ia put into the
freezer and comes out instantly smooth and
perfectly froteo. This astonishes people
and a crowd will gather to see the freeier in
operation and they will all want to try the
cream. ou can sell cream as fast as it can
be made and sell freeiera to many of them
who would not buy an old style freeier. It
is really a curiosity and you can sell 15 to
fS worth of cream and six to twelre freeiers
erery day. This makes a gotU profit these
hard times and is - pleaitnt employment.

members of the Teachers' Reading Circle
please ceme to the superintendent's office
Saturday Aug. 15. We will commence the
study of While's Pedagogy and may take up
another branch of nt'.y if the circle so
rules. The last lilt of questions on theory
and practice or psychology were taken from
White' Pedagogy so you see it will be
necessary to read up in Ihesc books in order
to pass an examination. Besides you will
be amply paid for all your trouble by the
pleasure there is in the study and tbe light
that it gives on the ''science of the mind"
and the assistance you gain in presenting
subjects to pupils in their order.
Some pupils are now ready and are ask-
ing for tbe establishment of a high school in
the county. The class of '07 that will grad-
uate from the "Diatriet Course" will make
a large enrollment for this school. There
fore we should as a county begin to pre-
pare fur this necessity te make investiga-
tions and to take steps in this ditection.
The list of teachers' examination questions
at the close of normal arc so easy thai we
think the pupils of the county will enjoy
looking them over and by so doing can make
an estimate of how near they each cou'd
hare came of making the required average
fer a certificate. Third grade requires an
aversge of 70 with no branch below 50.
Second grade requires an average of 80
ftn4 not fall below CO in any ono branch.
First grude requires an average of 00 with
no branch below 70.
