New York April 14. A Key
West dispatch to the New York
Evening Telegram says:
"Patrol boat duty on the
squadron now extends clear to
the Cuban coast lookiug out
for movements of a hostile fleet.
One of the swift torpedo boats
on watch last night proceeded
toward Havana till she was di
rectly beneath the lights of
Morro Castle. Nothing unusual
was noticed. No new men-of-
war had apparently entered the
harbor aud no movements of
the Spanish vessels in the di
rection of Key West or Tortu-
gas were noticed.
"Had the slightest movement
looking to an attack been made
the torpedo boat Vidette was
ready to torpedo the enemy aud
then run and give the alarm to
the squadron afterward. When
it is remembered that these
boats can make 32 miles an
hour the run from Havana here

"This watch of the Spanish

Sellersville.' Pa April 14.
Amid squalor and filth Mrs.
Bickley aged about 75 years
and Leon Bickley. an adopted
son about . 50 years old were
found dead id their old dilapi
dated home in West Rock bill
township about three miles
south from Sellersville.
Both were known to be sickly.
but their miserly way of living
prevented them asking assis-
tance. There is evidence Bickley
was reputed to be wealthy. She
owned her own home and a
large tract of houses in Phila-
delpeia. the rent of which would
have allowed her comfortable
support. A sum of money waa
found in her room.
The body of the woman waa
found on a cot in the dingy cor
ner of another room and the
old man's on an old lounge near

Mrs. Whitney's Injury.
New York April 14.- Friends
of the family of William C.
Whitney who have just arriv
ed from Aiken S. C state that
the wife of the former secretary
of the nayy is suffering from
the fracture of the second ver
tebra as a result of her recent
riding accident. An appliance
resembling a cage has been con
structea ana in tnis tne pa
tient's head rests day and night.
while a corps of trained nurses
are in attendance at th bed-
side. By this means it is hoped
to keep the spinal cord from
injury. Her condition is seri-
ous. If your child has thin pale
cheeks uncertain appetite and
unrestful sleep it has worms
aud curing with strong medi-
cines only makes conditions
worse by irritating its delicate
stomache. White's Cream Ver
mifuge is mild but certain in
effect and is a spector tonic as
well as a positive worm des
