next forty-eight hours.
The Woman's Chamber of Com-
merce carnival started off with a
hurrah this afternoon. -s cake con-
test at the city hall is the first event
of importance and is the center ol
attraction today.
Tonight at the Bllte theater will he
the long anticipated beauty .-show.
Hours 7:30 8:30 and 9:30.
Guthrie contains' more beautiful
women to the square inch than an-
other place in the world. If we do sa
it ourselves. Our own sweet and
fair girls will pose in lining pictures
and the audience will have the privi-
lege of voting for the prettiest.
Beautiful models ol the fall and win-
ter styles will be exhibited by promi-
nent society girls. The program will
be varied bj music given by the best
talent of 'U9 city.
Tomorrow's Attractions.
All babies between six months and
two years are eligible to compete in
the baby show. They should be en-
tered as soon as possible to facilitate
matters for the management. The
judges haw been chosen for their
tact aud undeniable diplomacy the
task being admittedly a hard one and
satisfaction is guaranteed.
The bootus will be in running order
Salurdav afternoon and Saturday
night Will be given over to an old-
fashioned riot of fund and festivity.
Everyone will forge! his or her
dignity and help to make this a gen-
uine carnival frolic. Confetti bal-
loons red lemonade will be there In
profusion and a score of funny
clowns will entertain the crowds.
Not Ottlj America and the colonial
possessions have been ransacked to
provide entertainment on this occa-
sion but the continent of Europe
will contribute the most wonderful
dazzling side-splitting whirlwind
performers who have come far across
the seas to be with us on this one
