United States Court Cannot Control
Dawes Commission Acts.
A special from South MeAlestef
la the United States court Judge
Clayton has just rendered a very
important decision to the effect
that the United States court had
no jurisdiction in the matter of
compelling the Dawes commission

writ of mandamus to have the
court to compel the commission to
enroll him. The court held that
the commission was clothed with
ample power and that it was not
within the power of the United

of the commission.
