Attend the meeting: at the
court house tonight.
Kveiiy town in the territory
is making preparation for a
celebration and why not Ard-
more! The executive committee for
the anniversary celebration re
quests your presence at the
court house tonight. '
It is greatly feared that the
rains of last night will prove
destructive to the small grain
now beiug harvested.
It is now positively asserted
by knowing ones that the Cher
okees and Dawes commission
will never come to an agreement.
and that congress will have to
settle the matter outright. Whv;
sakes alive honey! the whole
business will be settled that
way. The new jurisdiction
did that come through the
Dawes commission? Not much.
The recent law practically
abolishing tribal government
and smashiugthe Indian courts
did it come through the Dawes
commission? Hardly. To be
perfectly honest and candid
about it has the Dawes com-
mission really accomplished
anything at all iu the Indian
Territory? Sit. Capital .

Daring the summer of 1S91 Mr.
Chas. P.Johnson a well known at-
torney of Louisville Ky. had a very
severe attack of summer complaint.
Quite a number of different remedies
were tried but failed to afford any
relief. A friend who knew what was
needed - procured him a bottie of
Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and
Diarrhoea Remedy which quickly
cured him and he thinks saved his
life. He says that there has not been
a day since that time that he has not
had this remedy in his household.
He speaks of it in the highest praise
and takes much pleasure in recom-
mending it whenever an opportunity
is offered. For sale by Frame Green

The Cads Murder.
Deputy C S. Marshal Kver-
heart was in the city today and
spent considerable time in con-
sultation with Sheriff Hughes.
He left again for the Indian
Territory at 2:45 o'clock this
afternoon.
All the ofiicers are non-committal
on the matter but it is
learned from reliable sources
that four men were placed under
arrest at Colbert Station in the
I ml ian Territory at a very late
hour last right on the charge of
the assassination of Mart Kads
a few weeks since.
Eads was charged in the courts
here with false swearing to
obtain license to marry Miss
Pearl Potts. He evaded the
officers for a while but was
arrested and jailed. His wife's
father took her home and after
Eads made bond refused to let
Eads see her. Eads had taken
uv his residence in this. city.
He left Sherman one mommcr
to see if he could not get his
wife to come back to Sherman
with him. He was wounded
near his wife's father's house.
He was called out of a tenant
house and shot to death during
the night.
Mrs. Ead's father is one of
the parties reported to be under
arrest.
The examining trial will take
place at Caddo tomorrow.
