NO NEW DEVELOPflENTS.
Tbe Strike Situation Remain About
the Same New Operator.
Today brought no new develop
ments in the strike situation. The
rumors that the affiliated orders
would go on a strike to assist the
O. R. T. in enforcing its demands
proved without foundation and
trains continued to run as regular-
ly' as at any time since the strike
was inaugurated. This is not say-
ing much for the service however.
for freight has been congested ever
since Thursday and little or no
service is rendered the public in
this branch of the company's busi
ness.
Today Division Superintendent
W. R. Scott of Cleburne came up
the road with a crew of men whom
be .is installing in tbe vacancies
made by the walkout of the strik
ers. The agents at Thackerville
and Marietta were checked ont this
morning and new men were in
stalled at those places.
On the noon train Mr. Scott ar
rived in Ardmore with nine opera-
tors who will be distributed along
the line from here to Pnrcell as
soon as he can reach the places
These nine men are;
J. M. Grant Fort Worth; J
Brandenburg Cleburne; S. L
Robinson Galveston; T. R
Jones T. S. St. Clair John Tap
pert Chicago; W. E.-McMinns
D. Durcell Ft.' Smith; Robt
Barry Dallas.
J. B. Harbin and S. J. Harticg
the striking operators at this place
were checked out this afternoon
and Messrs. Jones and St. Clair of
Chicago were installed in their
places as operators at Ardmore.
The company seems to have se
cured and held in line enough men
to fill the vacancies on the.Gulf
line but this is only a beginning
The western and northern lines
remain very mnch crippled and it
is unlikely that the 2000 vacant
places can be filled without a cessa
tion of the strike.
The head officials of the organi
zationsof engineers firemen train
men and conductors have announe
ed that there will be no strike of
their men so it seems that the
contest will be waged to its eon
elusion between the present oppos
ing forces.
I wish to state to my customers
and others that I have moved my
feed mill and wood yard to my
place at junction of A street N
E. and Ninth Avenue where
will be pleased to fill all orders for

The Demented Woman.
The Fort Worth Register of this
morning contains the following:
"Early yesterday morning the po
lice received a phone message from
the Santa Fe station 6aying that
there was a demented woman there
who did not know where she was
going nor even know what her
name was. The patrol wagon
with one of the officers was there
fore seut after her and brought
her to the city hall. Later she
was taken to the county authorities
where she was conrmitted under a
charge of lunacy. She gave her
name as Lucinda Caraway.
The Santa Fe people say she
came from Ardmore and was ac
companied by no one. She had
as baggage a small telescope grip
which had a broken handle tied
with a string.
bhe appeared to be 25 or 30
years of age and was very plainly
