nearly all of the Oklahoma appointees
who were selected by congressman as
cadets for West Point and Annapolis
last . year failed to pass the examina-
tions lias not lessened the .applica-
tions for the idaces this year. There
are many candidates for these places
and they are sought to the extent that
many of the applicants take the pre-
caution to secure the endorsement of
the state and county organizations be-
fore they make application for ' ap-
pointment. This was true in every
instances in the following appoint-
menu which have been made by Con-
gressman Scott Ferris of fa Fifth
