strange to cay while abe was painful
ly bruised a boot the head aad face
the baby which remained ia bar arms
waa not injured ia the slightest. Mrs.
Ream escaped without injury. Bad it
ant been far the good qualities af the
harat they were driving remaining
quiet throughout they would- all un
doubtedly have been mangled beneath
the wheela of the caboose. Mrs. Tur-
man waa picked up by leader hands
aad carried to the Iron Store aad Dm.
Bogie and Booth were immediately
summoned iler injuries were '.found
to be external and confined to the
head and face. The horse and buggy
were the property of C. D. Carter
the Utter of which was completely de
moliebed. No blame ie attached ao tar
as learned to the train men but this
accident goes to show the necessity
of the company keeping a flagman at
the crossing. There baa quite recently
