Pastors Union meet In the Cumber
land Presbyterian chuch and the
Rev. J. E. Aubrey was made chair-
man of the meeting. The first item
of business was to to bear the re porta
of the services of the Sabbath In the
various churches.
All without exception reported
meetings of unusual interest and
profit.
It was the unanimous belief of the
Union that the church going In our
city Is rapidly increasing and that
the church is becoming more omni
present In the needs of the people.
We are beginlng to feel that as a re-
sult of our Pastor Union there is be-
ing cultivated more faternal spirit
amonc the chrlst Ian people of all de-
nominations. Wrier God's army bcc-mies one
united force we expect great victo-
ries for Jehovah in Ardmore.
The theme proposed for discussion
in the meeting was: "How do I pre-
pare my sermons." An interesting
informal and helpful discussion was
engaged in up n this subject vital to
every preacher.
Each had his own plan for sermon
making peculiar to bis own individu-
ality and yet there wa9 a marked
uniformity In the mode of preprea-
tion for the pulpit.
Bro. Law reported that the meet-
ing would continue in the Methodist
church during this week.
Bro. Aubrey announced their dedi-
catory service which will be held In
the Clumberland Presbyterian church
next Sabbath.
