syndicates grind the poor and al-
most as effectually. We like Mr.
Bailey do not want territorial ex-
pansion but we do want free
trade and free people the wide

It took at least ten days to get
complete returns of the Choctaw
election after that event occurred
while in the Chickasaw nation the
complete returns were known iu
Ardmore and thence to Uenison by
noon of the day following the elec
tion. The telephone had much to
do in this.
Hereafter all cards of thanks
and obituaries published in the
Ardmoreite will be charged for
at the rate of 5 cents a line.

Sid Williams.
Williams and Brown will come
to Ardmore in September if their
friends here can bring them. Sid
Williams is the great evangelist
who has done more work during
the last decade than any other
man. Brown is the sweet singer
whose harp and voice have stirred
ecstatic thrills in thousands of
hearts whose ears were open to re-
ligion and music. Williams and
Brown will be at Shawnee on the
27th inst and probably here early
in September.
