Mortuary Notes.
W. A. Walling aged 68 years
died at midnight Saturday of gun-
shot wounds at Woodford. He
was buried at 4 o'clock Sunday af-
ternoon .
Newt the 10-month-old child of
Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Holder living
seven miles north of Ardmore

tion. Interment took place at 2:30
o'clock this afternoon.
The Thackervllle Trouble.
Thackerville the heretofore quiet
little city by the river has been the
scene of some disturbance since its
incorporation here in the district
court iu the month of July. One
faction claims that the town is not
legally incorporated and has but
little respect for the officers elect-
ed or the ordinances passed. Sev-
eral young men of the town were
guilty of disturbing the peace and
resisted the town officers. Deputies
Stewart and Garrett arrested a por-
tion of the number among whom
are Dick Teague Emett and Ches-
ter Hargett and Heny Myers on
writs issuing from the United States
commissioner's court. They were
given a hearing today in Judge
Bradford's court and an effectire
remedy was applied by thatofficial.
Each party to the offense was put
under a peace bond of $300 and
turned over to the Thackerville
officials who will compel them to
pav the usual fine for disturbing
the peace. The cases against them
for resisting an officer were dis-
missed. Chickasaw Legislature.
Iu conversation with F. M.
Hare a member of the Chickasaw
legislature who is here today we
learn that the senate ou last Fri-
day took adjournment until Wed-
nesday; the house however re
convened today. Mr. Hare says
that some very important legis-
lation is yet to be had especially
on the school question. He says
there is an element in favor of al-
lowing the schools to demise but
he will certainly work strenuously
to prevent that. Said he "at the
present time our schools are over
crowded and they must have relief;
the building must be enlarged or
others built to accomodate the
pupils: the schools must be re
tained at all cost."

" 1 had been a sufferer for more than one year
with severe depressing pains in my womb"
says Mrs. Annie I.. Mathews a lady living at
310 Broadway Newport R. I. in a thankful let-
ter to Dr. R. V. Pierce of Buffalo. N. Y. " I
seemed to have no life or energy 1 was always
in such misery.
" At times I suffered so much I thought that
death would be better for me. I had tried doc-
tors and different kinds of medicines but all
tailed to do me any good. I commenced to take
Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription and also his
Pellets' and had only taken one bottle when
I felt much better. When I had taken four I
feit entirely well. I continued to take it and to-
day 1 am in every way a we'd woman and I have
found that life is worth living. To all women
who suffer with any womb trouble I would rec-
ommend this medicine. I thank the Lord that
such a doctor as Dr. Pierce was born."
Delicate pain - weary women need not
hesitate to "vrite to Dr. Pierce. All com-
munications are accepted in absolute con-
fidence; never published without express
permission ; and always answered with
earnest consideration to give the best pos-
sible advice of which a life-long profes-
