Correspondence. The long looked
for and much needed rain has come
at last. We bad quite a nice shower
Saturday night and it is now clear
and just cool enough to be pleasant
with tbe air fresh pure and invigor
ating making one feel that spring is
here.
"To where tbe rosy boiomod hour.
Fair Venus' trala appear.
Disclose tbe long expecte! fiow'rs.
And wake the purple year.
The attic warbler poura liar throat.
Responsive to tbe cuckoo" note.
The untaught harmony of spring.
While whispering- pleasures as they fly.
Cool zephyrs thro' the clear blue sky.
Their gathered fragrance fling."
The farmers are well up with their
work but not as good stands of corn
as desired but I think this shower
will assure good stands of both corn
and cotton.
The measles are subsiding to some
extent; general health good.
The Misses Flemming who have

IsvrfUa Territory Jails.
Washington April 13. Howard
Perry special agent of the depart-
ment of justice who has recently
conducted investigations in the Ind-
ian Territory has made a special
report to Attorney Geneaal Harmon
on the subject of jail facilities in tbe
Territory. Mr. Perry says he does
not see the necessity of building a
jail at each one of tbe thirteen places
where court is held in the Indian
Territory. He believes there should
be a first class jail capable of ac-
commodating at least 150 priaioners
for. each district and these jails
should be located at the head quar-
ters in each district namely: Mus-
cogee South McAlester and Ard-
more. The present jails at these
places Mr. Perry says are totally
unfit. At South McAlester recently
twenty-six prisoners broke jail.

Revival Services.
The revival services last night at
the Baptist church were well at-
tended showing that the in-
terest aroused during tbe Burnett
meeting still burns in the hearts of
our people. There were a number
of additions to tbe church and several
went forward for prayer. There will
be preaching each night during the
present week.
All Hall The Queen.
All England loves the . queen of
their country but the people of Ard
more love still more the "Queen of
the Pantry." -This is one of the
finest brands of flour that ever went
through a flouring mill and the
people are fast finding it out. If you
have not yet tried it call at T Y.
Morgan's at once and try a sack.

Accidental Discharge.
Mr. Jones who clerks at tbe gro-
cery house of M. Wheeler on West
Main street last evening came near
meeting with a serious accident. He
was changing a pistol from the desk
drawer to the safe when by some
means it was discharged. Fortun-
ately the ball found lodgment before
it had done any damage.
It is surprising to some of the
people of Ardmore to see the many
fine turnouts that Mr. T. B. Cathey
rolls out of his stables. He is con-
tinually adding new buggies new
carriages and better still is con-
tinually buying new and fine spirited
stock. Mr. Cathey is an up-to-date
liveryman and the people of Ard-
more are finding it out. Call on him
on West Main street for rigs of any
kind. 13 tf

There is a grade of wheat that is rare and hard to obtain. It is something rarely seen in this country our
mills have secured a lot and we now can offer to the public something that has never been in Ardmore before.
It is extra fancy HIGH PATENT FLOUR and we call it UBR AH) "V PATENT." No matter by
what name you are offered flour we will excel it in quality and would like to have you try it as this brand can
not be secured every day for the wheat that it takes to make it is exceedingly scarce. Our canned goods sale for
exceeded our expectations and we thank our friends for their patronage. Our Java and Mocha Coffee is now
used by all epicures who desire a real good cup. A little high in price but
